Sweet Charities of Hanover, Inc.

Sweet Charities is a nonprofit organization formed to support many different other nonprofit area groups in need of funding. We operate as a foundation does, reserving the right to select the Organizations to whom we contribute. Requests for donations from other nonprofits are kept on file but are not always chosen to be recipients. Our primary focus is to distribute monies to assist our area citizens.

GOALS

The Sweet Charities Cancer Patient Fund has been established as a perpetual recipient of our fund-raising efforts. In addition, we wish to assist many other local groups such as:

Still Waters (Women and Children Protection from Abuse)
Golden Visions (for Senior Citizens)
The Local Fire Department (Equipment)
Red Cross Local Emergency/Disaster Fund
UCP
Easter Seals
Changing Lives Shelter (formerly the Cold Weather Shelter for the homeless)

These are representative of the types of organizations we aid in their constant need for more funding.

ORGANIZATIONAL GUIDELINES

We comprise a group of caring individuals who receive no pay for their involvement in the organization. We have no paid staff and no designated factility from which to operate. We organize events to provide needed funds which are distributed to groups such as those mentioned above.

WE HAVE BEEN GRANTED 501-c3 STATUS BY THE I.R.S. AND ALL DONATIONS TO US ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
